Personally, the celebrity sex tapes no longer do anything for me. Having seen almost every one made public, I find them lackluster at best. I do have to say however, that no one has ever come close to matching the Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee tape. I found that quite good with all the action and it truly lived up to the hype.
Paris Hilton’s tape made me feel like I was looking at an alien giving a blowjob - plus I personally find her SO UNATTRACTIVE! Chyna scared me with her gigantic clit (the size of it puts some men to shame!) and her whacky behavior, Colin Ferrell and Tom Sizemore - *yawn* describes it generously!
Why do these tapes surface? Well it is my opinion that these are carefully calculated moves by the celebrities who are looking to gain publicity, fame and fortune. Pamela Anderson was always popular, but in most men’s eyes she went from a 10 to a 20 because of her prowess! Most of us would dream of having such a beauty that is willing and more than able to please us sexually! Tommy Lee became a big fan with the ladies (and some men) because he is packing a big weapon, and I am convinced the publicity from the tape made him even more famous and wealthier – would he have ever gotten the reality series if this was not released?
The tape and subsequent publicity stunts have done did wonders for Paris Hilton’s – who had really ever heard of her before this? She is constantly in National Newspapers, attends the best and most high profile events, gotten movie parts and a reality series for two seasons! To this day I still am not sure if she is really dumb or a marketing genius!
Chyna’s career was over after she left the WWE – her tape did nothing for her neither positive nor negative IMHO. She is just plain out there as we saw on The Surreal Life and appearances on Howard Stern. I hope she gets some help.
I personally think all Tom Sizemore gained was bad publicity. The tape was really odd and so was his behavior – maybe he and Chyna are siblings? Colin Ferrell we have yet to see the complete results but I think it will neither help nor hinder his career.
I have to give Kudos’ to David Joseph and Red Light District, this company not only produces outstanding XXX Movies, but they always manage to get into the spotlight with now their third celebrity tape.
As a society, we are fascinated by celebrities and their personal lives. We love scandals. I also think the shock value of a sex tape has diminished. It is time for something new, something different and unique. With the Reality type TV getting old and tired – what will it take to shock us now? I am sure something is in the works…what it is I do not know, but we will be watching and anticipating it I am sure!
