Can I watch Your Movies On My TV?
Adult Rental offers you the highest quality audio and video streaming movies available on the web. To enhance your viewing pleasure, you can watch our videos full screen directly on your Television Set simply by connecting it to your computer. There are three connectors to look for when hooking a PC to a TV. These are RCA Composite, SVIDEO, and VGA.
PC Requirements - The newer your computer is, the better chance that it comes with either a RCA Composite or S-VIDEO connection. Some notebook computers also have video outputs on them. When buying a new computer always look for the words "TV out" or "video out" in the computer description. Older computers without these options may require either a new video card or additional hardware.
Television Requirments – HDTV’s are the recommended choice for enhanced viewing. At minimum, your television requires additional input sources such as VIDEO INPUT or S-VIDEO INPUT Jacks. If your TV is not equipped with these or if they are currently in use, your VCR or DVD Player may have additional input sources you can utilize for this.
Instructions
Composite RCA CABLE INPUTS ONLY
A High Definition TV will give you the best image possible. If you only have an RCA Composite connector on the back of your computer, then you can use that. You may also need to power down your computer and reboot to get a signal. You need an RCA Composite cable that is long enough to reach from your computer to your PC. Simply Connect the color coded cables from the back of the computer to the equivalent input jacks located back of your TV set.
Requirements:
1) 1 RCA 3 Component Cable
How To Connect:
RCA Cables are color-coded yellow for video, red and white for left and right audio channels. Plug the Yellow Audio Cable into the Yellow Input connector on the back of your TV and the 2 Red and White Left and Right Audio Cables into the Input Section of your TV. Plug the other ends into the PC in their appropriate color matching positions.
Tune your TV to the appropriate input channel or source. Your TV may have multiple video modes. In order to view what your PC is streaming, you must select the appropriate input mode on your TV which you plugged your cables into. Please refer to your Television Manual or User Guide for further instructions.
Viewing
a) – Change Display Settings on your PC
Once connected, you will need to activate the new display on your PC in your settings and activate the new display in order for your computer to recognize it.
Windows Display Settings:
You can use the Display Control Panel in Windows to activate the output to the television. You can either "mirror" the display of the computer on the TV, or you can "extend the desktop" onto the television and have two separate displays.
Mac OS Display Settings:
If you are using a Mac, open the Displays System Preference for the same options.
b) – Change Input On Your Television
Tune your TV to the appropriate input channel or source. Your TV may have multiple video modes. In order to view what your PC is streaming, you must select the appropriate input mode on your TV which you plugged your cables into. Please refer to your Television Manual or User Guide for further instructions.
S-VIDEO Option
An S-Video connection is superior to the RCA Composite and will give you a clearer picture. If you have a fairly new TV you should have an S-Video connector in the back. You will need to buy an S-VIDEO cable, which you can get just about anywhere that sells home video products. Connect the cable to your S-Video on the back of your computer and then connect it on the back of your TV. NOTE: If your TV has many video modes you might need to select the video mode that the cable is plugged into. Read your instruction manual that came with your TV to do this. Most video cards with at least 64 Megabytes of memory will come with a S-Video connection and there are some with 32 Megabytes of memory that will come with the connection as well. back to top

Other Methods
VGA ONLY
If your computer only has a VGA connector, then your best choice is to buy a newer video card with an S-Video connector. Without a video card you will need special hardware in order to make this work. It is generally a better idea to purchase a new video card. The VGA port is the connector that's connected to your PC monitor (the TV like device that came with your computer). This connector is usually only usable for VGA Monitors or HDTV setups. Several companies are currently making hardware they claim will stream media from your PC to your television set. The only solutions that work well are the Windows XP Media Center Extenders and the Windows Media Connect compatible devices. Other current proprietary options offer solid audio streaming and flaky video streaming at this point. One option is to upgrade your PC to Windows XP Media Center Edition and invest in a compatible Windows Media Center Extender. The second option is to purchase a Windows Media Connect compatible device. More Information regarding Windows Media Centre can be found here.
