Sunrise Adams was born in St. Louis but spent most of her life growing up in a small town in East Texas named Pickton with a whopping population of 90 people! Her family was not well off, in fact, she grew up in near poverty. She had no phone, no TV and no friends to play with for miles. She describers herself as a wild and curious tomboy, in the 6th grade she tattooed HORNY on her knuckles using a sewing needle and ink drawn from a pen! She was very gifted athletically and academically, excelling in both but particularly in basketball and most notably in football. She was the only female to play for both the Junior and Senior Varsity teams. Her excellence in academics allowed her to graduate from high school at the early age of 16, she even enrolled in a local community college during her last two years in high school. She then went on to study in Business and was on her way to a Business Administration degree.

Sunrise is the niece of Adult Film world Superstar Sunset Thomas. Just before Sunrise’ 18th birthday, her aunt was working at the Sonic Drive-In and Sunrise decided to drop in on her and paid her a visit, arriving in a Tractor Trailer. During the visit, Sunset convinced her niece that the adult film industry could be the way out of small town Texas, and possibly lead her to fame and fortune. In January 2001, just having turned 18, Sunset decided to head for the bright lights and opportunities of Los Angeles to begin a successful career in the adult film world. Aunt Sunset even helped pick out her stage name which complemented her very own.

Sunrise Adams first film was Ed Powers series More Dirty Debutantes 186, although she claimed her first experience was not something she particularly liked nor wanted to remember. Although very eager and willing, Sunrise did not have the most sexual experience up to that point. Over the next couple of months she was encouraged to try things she had never experienced before. One such act was being with another woman, and her first lesbian experience occurred on film with the beautiful Cherry Rain in a move entitled Cockless 3.

Her first ever anal experience was also captured on film (it came in Ed Powers Dirty Debutants 186) and she was open to this very early on in her career. However, in Vince Voyeurs Initiations #8, she had a particularly rough session and ended up with stitches to close her wounds and a significant time to heal, thus she had adamantly refused to partake in anal action ever since.

Sunrise was an instant hit with the fans upon entering the business. Her exceptionally beautiful face, delicious body and All-American next door girl looks had fans hunkering for more. Vivid video had been pursuing the gorgeous Sunrise since her first appearance, and for over a year she turned down many lucrative offers to sign on with them as an exclusive contract girl. In August of 2002, Vivid founder Steve Hirsch met with Sunrise at a gas station while she was en-route to close escrow on her first house. After many months of negotiations and courting, the cajoling paid off and the lovely Sunrise agreed to an exclusive contract with the video giant.

Sunrise Adams is well-known for her exceptional oral skills and lesbian scenes. She has been nominated for several AVN awards for both these talents, and in 2004 garned the award for Best Oral Sex Scene in a Film Heart of Darkness. She has starred in a number of films opposite scrumptious brunette actress Faith Adams, and together they grew particularly fond of each other, actually claiming to have been "married" to each other for almost two years.

Sunrise’s appeal and charm led to non adult mainstream appearances. Most notably, On August 2, 2004, she and fellow Vivid girl Savanna Samson appeared on Fox News's "The O'Reilly Factor" talk show to promote their book How to Have a XXX Sex Life. It is rumored and alleged that the appearance by the incredibly sexy duo may have gotten host Bill O'Reilly in such a sexual frenzy, that it indirectly led to his alleged inappropriate attention toward a female Fox News co-worker later that same evening. The woman filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against O'Reilly and eventually settled out-of-court for an undisclosed sum.

Adams has also had some other notable mainstream exposure. She appeared on the cover of the Xbox and PlayStation 2 game, Backyard Wrestling 2: There Goes the Neighborhood, portraying herself, and was a spokeswoman for Pony Sports. In 2003, she appeared in the skateboarding movie Grind.

Sunrise Adams is an incredible combination of beauty, charisma and sex appeal. She is one of the most endearing performers in recent history and will surely be remembered in time as one of the brightest stars the industry has ever seen.
