Paris Hilton Busted For DUI!

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Paris Hilton was arrested early Thursday for investigation of driving under the influence, police said.
Hilton was arrested shortly before 12:30 a.m. after being pulled over in Hollywood, said police Officer I. Isabella, who declined to give his first name.
Police stopped Hilton because she was "driving erratically," Isabella said, reading a police statement.

"The officers observed that Hilton exhibited the symptoms of intoxication. A field sobriety test was conducted at scene, and the officers determined she was driving under the influence."
Hilton was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and released, he said.
Her spokesman, Elliot Mintz, confirmed the arrest and said police detected the minimum blood-alcohol level to warrant an arrest. The legal limit in California is 0.08 per cent.
"She's absolutely fine," Mintz said. "She didn't appear in the least bit to be intoxicated."
At the time of her arrest, Hilton was driving home in her Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren from a charity event where she had one drink, a margarita, he said. She had spent the day shooting a music video for her new album, Paris.
The driving under the influence symptoms were "probably the result of an empty stomach and working all day and being fatigued," Mintz said.
She was picked up from the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood station by her sister, Nicky, Nicky's boyfriend, actor Kevin Connolly, and Mintz.

SNYDER, Oklahoma - Police Chief Tod Ozmun is disturbed -- not by the fact his wife is featured on an adult porn Web site, but that his fellow citizens are circulating her downloaded nude photographs and calling for his job.
"I'm very bothered," said Ozmun, who was hired in January 2005. "I'm upset because people have gone out of their way to circulate photos of my wife to cause trouble. ... What my wife does, does not affect my job as chief of police.
"She is a grown, 43-year-old woman who is free to make her own decisions."
Many townspeople think Doris Ozmun's decision to pose nude should cost her husband his job. A number of those people called for Ozmun's firing last week at a city council meeting.
About 70 residents crammed into the Snyder City Hall meeting room that night, spilling into the hallways and onto the street. The four-member council went into executive session to discuss the matter. They emerged 20 minutes later with a prepared statement that was read by Mayor Dale Moore. The statement, in part, read:
"Under the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, and adjudicated by the Supreme Court of the United States on many occasions, pornography or, in the case of Snyder, adult pictures, is a right under the First Amendment and no laws have been broken.
"As Mayor and council of the city of Snyder ... we do not endorse pornography; however, we do endorse an individual's rights under the First Amendment of freedom and expression."
The council took no action on the matter, prompting one council member -- Sammy Gettens -- to resign.
"We will take no action on Chief Ozmun," Moore stressed Tuesday. "He was not involved in these, and he has broken no laws."
Teresa Mills, a Snyder native and resident, remains appalled by the council's inaction.
"A lot of people want Todd Ozmun out as chief," Mills said. "I'm one of them. I have a 12-year-old granddaughter, and she came home the other day and said, 'Hey, people are saying the chief of police's wife is a porno queen.'
"This is a man who is supposed to be someone you respect and someone you can go to for help."
Doris Ozmun was paroled in March 2005 after spending two years in the state prison system on drug-related charges. She released a statement in her defense. The statement, in part, reads:
"Hi, my name is Doris Ozmun. I am a 43-year-old adult model. I am in no way affiliated with the Snyder Police Department other than the fact I am married to the chief of police, Tod Ozmun. The Web site I am featured on is in no way affiliated with the Snyder Police Department nor the city of Snyder.
"I have done nothing illegal, and it is my First Amendment right of the Constitution. You do not have to like or agree with what I do for me to be protected by the First Amendment right."

Paris Hilton was seen sobbing in the streets of New York last week after being turned away from a nightclub.
The hotel heiress - who recently said she only goes out partying because she is paid to - was turned away from exclusive nightspot Bungalow 8 last Thursday night (31.08.06) after security told her it was "full to capacity."
An eyewitness told Life and Style Weekly magazine: "She was sobbing and kept saying she was Paris Hilton and she didn't understand - all she wanted to do was dance!"
After being refused entry to the club, Paris, her entourage and rumoured boyfriend Brandon Davis decided to try a few other clubs but police told her the entire street was being closed off due to overcrowding, so her limousine was not allowed through.

Paris' embarrassing snub came just a day after she was unable to attend two MTV Music Video Awards pre-parties.
The socialite-turned-singer had hoped to attend Diddy's bash at Bungalow 8 as well as another warm-up party, but police closed the New York street where the club is located to all vehicles, and despite Paris's protests, would not give her access.

The hotel heiress' parents almost didn't get married because her maternal grandmother was married to a mobster, a new book reveals.
Jerry Oppenheimer reports in "House of Hilton" that Kathy Richards - known as "Big Kathy" -was hitched to a notorious gangland figure when her daughter, "Little Kathy," fell in love with Paris' dad, Rick Hilton.
Oppenheimer, whose Crown book comes out in November, is withholding the mob guy's name for now. But he reports that federal prosecutors linked him to Mafia families in New York, Philadelphia, Detroit and Chicago.
"Big Kathy used to boast to friends … that 'if you ever need someone taken care of,' her husband had the muscle to handle it."
But Big Kathy got nervous when her daughter hooked up with Rick. "I can't have the Hiltons finding out what [my husband] does," she told a friend.
Big Kathy promptly divorced the potential wedding-spoiler, one of four husbands she collected. The gentleman later died of a heart attack - just before he was due to serve 15 years for counterfeiting, money-laundering and other charges.
Even so, Mama Richards was banned from the Hilton estate in Los Angeles unless the family patriarch, Barron Hilton, was out of town, according to Oppenheimer. "Barron couldn't stand being around Kathy's mother," a source told Oppenheimer. "He used to call her 'The Madam' - as in bawdy house madam."
Word is her mobster gave Big Kathy the same big honking diamond ring that he'd given earlier molls. "He'd always get it back from them," a source tells us. "But he never got it back from Big Kathy."
A spokesman for the Hiltons, who are said to be dreading the book, declined to comment. But Paris still cherishes the memory of her grandma, who died in 2002 at the age of 63.
"We were, like, best friends," Paris says in September's issue of Blender. "She would say, 'You're my Marilyn Monroe. You're my Grace Kelly. You're going to be the most famous woman in the world.' … I feel like she made all this happen."
