Harper Collins to publish Ron Jeremy’s Biography!

NEW YORK: "Ron Jeremy: The Hardest (Working) Man in Showbiz" is the title, and February 1, 2007 is the scheduled date of release for what could be the mainstream crossover smash of next year from the adult world, the 352-page memoir of the one known as The Hedgehog, AVN Hall of Famer and living legend Ron Jeremy.
The book is being published by Harper Entertainment, a sub-division of Harper Collins, is being handled by top Harper Collins editors Joelle Yudin and Mauro DiPreta, and was co-authored by Eric Spitznagel, who recently penned another adult-related tome, "Fast Forward: Confessions of a Porn Screenwriter" (published by Manic D Press).
"It's an autobiography that was written a long, long time ago," Jeremy told AVN.com in an exclusive interview. "I was dealing with Simon & Schuster and Kensington [Publishing] and a million other people, and I never approached them — I want to make it real clear — I didn't approach them. But a couple of years ago, they approached me, but weren't offering the kind of money that I thought would be fair. I know what people get, so I waited and waited and waited and waited, and finally, HarperCollins [picked it up]."

As far as what readers have to look forward to, Jeremy promised, "We got a lot of new things in this book that people have absolutely no idea about. And there's a lot of great photos. They got 60, 70 pictures of me and famous people, all along with little captions [stating] why I met them and how I met them.
"What makes my book, I guess, kind of interesting," Jeremy continued, "is that the photos kind of back up the story. For example, when I tell a story of how John Holmes, when he read an article that I was like the star of the ’80s in Playgirl magazine, he said, 'Why don't I just retire and become your bitch?' and there's a picture I have of him acting like my bitch in a pose, so it backs up the story."
Other interesting tales related in the book include his mother's stint as a spy in World War II, his uncle's partnership with gangster Bugsy Segal and his work as a monster named "Blister Face" on a Saturday morning kids' show for Disney.
"What I'm hoping for most of all in my book [is] that there'll be about 120 'Holy shit! I didn't know that!' [reactions from the reader]. When people read about my family history, they're gonna take a severe dump in their pants."
Jeremy also noted that, "I'm getting some offers from independent film production companies to pay me a decent-size option for a possible movie based on the book. From some good, decent-size players, too. We're not talking little tiddlywinks, we're talking about some major people."
Whether or not advance copies of the book will be available in time for dissemination at the 2007 Adult Entertainment Expo in January remains to be seen, Jeremy said, but he did comment that, "The p.r. people of the show are aware of the book, and vice versa." He also boasted that, "It's already pre-sold I think close to 30,000 copies, so it's pretty good."

CineKink accepts kink-positive film for Festival

Last week it was announced that Adam & Eve Pictures upcoming feature “ O - The Power of Submission” has been accepted for showing at New York City's prestigious Cinekink Festival.
CineKink is an organization that is dedicated to the recognition and encouragement of kink-positive depictions in film and television. With offerings drawn from both Hollywood and abroad, works presented at CineKink NYC will range from documentary to drama, camp comedy to hot porn and everything in between. “O - The Power of Submission” has been accepted as a rare entry in that it is a full-length adult video. It has been scheduled for a special 10:30 p.m. showing on Saturday, October 21, 2006.
Cinekink's organizer, Lisa Vandever, says of “O - The Power of Submission”, "Congratulations on a beautiful - and hot! - reinterpretation of 'O'!! Aaron's next party is going to require an extra-large cake. Figuring that what happens in Las Vegas does not always have to stay in Vegas, Aaron Carter popped the question Sunday night to girlfriend Kari Ann Peniche, sources told E! Online Monday.
The 18-year-old 2 Good 2 B True singer had apparently planned to escort his paramour straight over to the nearest Sin City wedding chapel, but instead of pulling a Britney he opted for an onstage proposal in front of 200 people during a performance of the Playboy Hollywood Comedy Tour. The duo, who hunkered down at the Palms Casino Resort during their stay in Vegas, said that they plan to wed sometime in the next six months.
"I'm very excited about it," Peniche told People magazine. "Aaron is the most genuine person I know. He's kind, loving, and I love him so much."

While her social networking site is in desperate need of an update--it currently lists her as "single"--Peniche knows what she wants in a man.
"You like to be able to talk about everything that is on your mind, and if your partner can't keep up, well, you know," the San Diego native said. "You are very attracted to someone who can challenge you, and make you see things in a whole new way."
And Carter, fully recovered from a minor surfing accident that sidelined him last month, seems pretty adept at posing brainteasers. When asked about his son's pending nuptials, Bob Carter told E! Online senior editor Marc Malkin, "I heard he got married, then I heard he only got engaged. I don't have a clue." Papa Carter also said that the couple "just started dating. Even my daughters don't know what's going on."
Aside from wedding planning, the groom-to-be will soon be making the reality TV scene with his siblings. House of Carters, featuring Aaron, older brother Nick, twin sister Angel, and sisters Bobbie Jean and Leslie, premieres Oct. 2 on E! Entertainment Television. (E! and E! Online are divisions of E! Lindsay Lohan breaks her arm

Lindsay Lohan was rushed to the hospital Saturday after slipping and falling at a Fashion Week party and fracturing her wrist.
Lohan's publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, said the 20-year-old actress slipped and fell at the Milk Studios in New York, fracturing her wrist in two places. She was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital, and Sloane said Lindsay's mother drove in from Long Island to meet her. Sloane added that "there's a pending investigation" into the accident, after Lohan claimed Milk Studios didn't take proper measures to prevent slips on the slick ground.
Back in May Lindsay slipped and broke her foot trying to get out of the shower so this is sort of like her thing now. She's Lindsay Lohan, the girl who slips and breaks things. And if she's serious about "investigating" the accident she could save herself a lot of time and effort by just asking random people to call her a dumbass. Because that's what the police will be doing when they receive a call from Linday Lohan asking them to stop tracking down murderers and look into why she falls down all the time.
NOTE: The answer, by the way, rhymes with balcohol.
