Briana Banks is a blonde haired, blue eyed, big breasted stunner who exploded into the adult film industry in 2000. We sat down to talk candidly with the starlet.

Q: Where are you from, and what brings you to where you are now?

A: I was born in Munich, Germany, and have moved around quite a bit. My family moved to Britain before ultimately deciding upon the United States. I got my citizenship when I turned 18.

Q: What were you doing prior to entering adult film?

A: I’ve had a number of different jobs. Everything from working in an arts and crafts store to secretarial work. The last job I had was as an insurance auditor.

Q: Why did you leave your last position?

A: I was ready for something else. I responded to a modeling ad in a newspaper. I was 19 at the time.

Q: What were you like growing up? Do you think being a porn star would surprise anyone from your past?

A: Yes! I have surprised a lot of people. I was such a tomboy. Baggy jeans and shirts. Baseball caps. You would think I was a dude if I didn’t have long hair. I was voted “Most Shy” in high school!

Q: Does your family know what you do?

A: Most of my family knows – except my grandma! I just say that I am filming bathing suit-type catalogs. But when my dad found out all the way back in Munich, he said they have me posted on billboards and stuff.

Q: So tell me about your start then. You mentioned modeling.

A: I started my career as a nude model, including a cover and centerfold for Penthouse. I was Pet of the Month in June 2001. It was a natural progression towards film.

Q: Have you always had long term plans as far as adult goes?

A: When I started, my alias was "Mirage." I didn’t plan to stick around, I just needed some help paying the bills. My first film was University Coeds 18, and they ended up putting me on the box cover. At that point, my secret was out and I decided I would jump in with both feet.

Q: Why did you change your name?

A: It was the advice of a friend in the business, Lita Chase. If I was going to be a porn star, I was going to be a huge porn star. The boobs came next. My first film as "Briana" was Decadent Whores 9.

Q: Care to elaborate?

A: I figured I wanted to have an entirely new image, so I had not one but two breast enlargements done. I felt like it completed my transformation.

Q: What do you think you’re known for in the industry?

A: I have a reputation for enjoying the hardest, dirtiest sex. And it’s a well deserved reputation! As anyone could see from my movies, I absolutely love anal sex, including double penetrations. I love gang bangs, and I love having sex with women. And of course, my 36” inseams. I have the longest legs in the business.

Q: Who are some of your favorite stars to work with?

A: As far as women, it’s Jenna (Jameson) hands down. As for men, I enjoy Joel Lawrence, Bobby Vitale, Marc Davis and Evan Stone.

A: I love motocross! And I model for Fox Racing.

Q: Do you get recognized a lot in public?

A: I get recognized if I have a little shirt on.

Q: What is the oddest thing that has happened to you since entering adult film?

A: In 2002, I got my own action figure! Cyber F/X used a laser model to make an exact replica of me, and it was used by Sota Toys. I don’t think it’s odd though, it was incredibly flattering! It looked exactly like me, and even had my tattoos! (A ribbon on her lower back, and a spider web on her elbow.)

Q: I read somewhere that you wrote a sex book.

A: I was a contributing author on a book called How To Have a XXX Sex Life: The Ultimate Vivid Guide. This was in 2004. Myself and other Vivid stars give advice and tips about sex, as well as some real-life stories.

Q: How is your dating life?

A: It’s hard. At first, you’re a trophy. Then when the feelings develop, they don’t want you to go to work anymore. Then comes the explaining about me doing porn. They think I am fucking anyone I want. The reality is, I am going to work. I’ve only had two boyfriends since I’ve been in the business.

A: My friends, and the money.

Q: Dislikes?

A: People who are rude and people who are fake.

Q: Would you consider going back into the mainstream? Modeling or acting?

A: I did Flaunt magazine, but once you’re in porno, it’s hard to go back.

Q: What can we expect from you in the future?

A: I am very involved with my website. I send about 300 stills a week. So I will continue to be working hard at that.
