Cytherea was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah prior to making the move to Sin City to start an online Yahoo! Group, where she posted nude photographs, videos, and webcam shows for a small, but loyal fanbase she had obtained. While independently running her sight online, she was discovered and contacted by an adult modeling agency interested in having her start work in adult film. Without much hesitation, Cytherea agreed to meet and discuss, and in no time she was working behind the camera.
Her first scene was filmed with Tyce Bune in I’ve Never Done That Before #14. It was also common knowledge in the industry that Cytherea was not interested in performing anal sex on camera, however gave in to peer and industry pressure and has since performed anal in a small number of scenes.
Since her inception to adult film, Cytherea has gained notoriety quickly, winning the Best New Starlet Award from AVN in 2005. In her short career, she has been featured in over 200 adult films, including a series in which she stars as Cytherea the Squirtwoman. In addition, she has made a number of mainstream television appearances, most notably the HBO/Cinemax series Sex Games: Vegas, Playboy TV's Night Calls and has been a three time guest of The Howard Stern Show.
Cytherea also hosts an industry talk and interview radio show with her husband Brian, who is sometimes referred to in the industry as Plus One. The show is hosted on KSex in Los Angeles and is called Goddess of Gush. Together the two have formed a production company called Club Cytherea Productions and have so far produced 7 films under the title, including Meet The Fuckers, and Star Whores.
