AVN President Paul Fishbein was joined by Adam and Eve contract starlet Ava Rose and her sister Mia, on the "Howard Stern Show" in New York City this morning.
Ava is the older of the sisters at 20, while Mia is 19. Both grew up in Alaska, and came to Southern California via Reno, Nevada. The two arrived in Los Angeles in February to start their adult entertainment careers.
The trio promoted the 2007 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo and AVN Awards Show. The AVN Expo is scheduled for Jan. 10-13 at the Sands Expo Center at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, while the 24th annual AVN Awards will be held the night of Jan. 13 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
Among their nominations for other awards, both Ava and Mia are up for Best New Starlet this year.
“Paul has given us a pair of tickets to the AVN Awards to give away, along with a four day/three night stay in Las Vegas, hotel and airfare included, as well as passes to the Adult Entertainment Expo,” Stern said on the broadcast.
Fishbein added that the recipient of the giveaway will also be able to walk the Rose sisters down the red carpet at the AVN Awards. “I already have my dress picked out,” said Mia. “It looks great.”
“The Awards Show is open to the public this year,” Fishbein continued, “we moved to Mandalay Bay [Events Center]…fans can come and see the show for about a hundred bucks.”
“It’s really more exciting than the Academy Awards, the girls make beautiful speeches,” added Stern.
Later in the show, a caller from Louisville, Ky., won the giveaway, after a caller from New York said he was married and his wife wouldn't approve if he took the prize.
When asked, neither of the Rose sisters said they had a prepared acceptance speech for the Awards Show. “I just know I’m not going to thank my mother or God,” said Mia. “You see girls go up there and they thank their mother, God and their asshole…it’s pretty funny. I can’t wait."
Stern asked the sisters if there is any competition between the two for awards. “I’m actually just happy and honored to be nominated,” responded Ava, who is an exclusive contract performer with Adam & Eve.
The show concluded with some interesting banter between Stern and the Rose sisters about their personal sex lives and Ava was convinced to ride the Sybian.
“Paul Fishbein is a great guy, and he really knows how to take the porn industry and elevate it,” Stern added. Fishbein returned the compliment. “I’ve been coming on this show for 20-something years,” he said, “and you guys really took it to the next level [on Sirius] this year. It’s been a spectacular year.”
Ava and Mia star together in Adam & Eve Pictures’ latest release, Double Trouble, which hit the streets on Dec. 12.
