Q: Why did you move to America after having grown up in Spain?

Avy: I wanted to live in Los Angeles or New York because I was crazy about the lifestyle. The rock and roll, the fast pace. It’s all so exciting.

Q: Are you really David Lee Roth’s daughter?

Avy: He knows. He had so much crazy sex in his life, he doesn’t even know if there are more of me out there! I admire him. We have a good time. That’s all I’ll say.

Q: When did you get your start in the business?

Avy: I think it was December of 2003 when I started, and I think I’ve probably done one or two hundred scenes since then.

Q: What do you love and hate about porn?

Avy: Money I love. I’m not going to lie about that, it’s a huge factor. All I really dislike is gonzo. Personally, I think too much of it borders on violence. I want to have sex, don’t get me wrong, but I am not looking to get hurt. I don’t watch aggressive sex, and I don’t perform it.

Q: In what ways have you changed since entering the industry?

Avy: I’ve changed a lot. Almost everything about me. I am way more stressed and stressful of a person than I used to be. At the same time, I think I have more patience then I used to. The biggest thing for sure was trying to be in relationships. I am married now, but even still, it is sometimes very difficult for my husband to have a wife in this business.

Q: Does he want you to stop doing it?

Avy: He would never ask me to, but I know that he would have no objections if I told him it was done. It’s very hard on a relationship, to have one person in the industry. Either you have to date a fellow porn star, or you have to explain to someone in the real world what it’s going to be like to date you.

Q: Did he know when you met?

Avy: I didn’t tell him for about a month. It was so hard. He was ok when I would tell him I did a girl/girl, but if I told him it was a girl/boy, we would fight for a week.

Q: Do you think you could walk away?

Avy: It’s so hard, because I have grown accustomed to the money. Not only that, I consider myself a good actress. I think I’m funny in my movies, and I have a good time at what I’m doing. Who’s to say I will have this much fun in any other career?

Q: How long do you think you’re going to do it?

Avy: I’ll do it until no one wants to shoot me anymore. Or, I guess I will stop if I get tired of it and stop having fun. I have other ambitions in the industry, like directing or starting my own line of toys. I would love to make a series based on office sex; complete with props and outfits.

Q: How is sex different in America?

Avy: In LA, the guys are like girls! Always worried about their clothes and their hair. That is something I am not used to at all. Men are so feminine here in their approach to women, and sometimes that rolls over into the sex I’ve had here. In the US, I see girls chasing guys all the time, but in Spain it’s not like that. The guys pursue the girls, that’s just how it is. It’s like nothing is sacred for women here; they will try and fuck my husband even when they know we are together.

Q: Does your husband have sex with other women?

Avy: He might occasionally, with one or two of his friends. It’s not like we have an open relationship, it’s just that I can’t make a case for myself. I sleep with new guys all the time, so how could I get angry at him? I do get jealous though because mine is work and his is not.

Q: How do you feel about the judgment cast on you because of your career choice?

Avy: I hate that I get judged so easily. When someone finds out I work in porn, immediately I am good for nothing but sucking cock. I have feelings, and they get hurt. I do this because the money is amazing, and I need that. I was in a tight spot when I got started. But now, I can work 4 hours a day, then go home, and read, and go to the beach, and do yoga. I can have the kind of life I want, but I can still talk to anyone about anything. I’m not dumb just because my career has to do with sex.

Q: How has the industry affected your self esteem?

Avy: It goes both ways. Sometimes, I get to feel like a famous Hollywood star because I get recognized and I make money. But then sometimes, its like, not the same money they would make, and its not for the same reasons that I am being recognized, so I have to step back sometimes. It can be glamorous, and it can be torturous.

Q: A lot of porn stars get really messed up in drugs. Has that been a problem for you?

Avy: I think drugs are good to try, to open your mind. I have had some amazing times with drugs, and have tried everything. Like really, really good conversations because my inhibitions were so limited. But at the same time, I realized that wasn’t good for me. It wasn’t good to do coke every day. I had to go back to AA, I had to lose some of the relationships in my life that were destructive. I just wanted to regain some control over my life.

Q: What does the future hold for you Avy?

Avy: Who could say at this point. I want to keep performing. I want to stay in control of my career, and that includes starting to really work towards directing and producing if that is really what I want to do. My fans will be satisfied either way, so thank you to everyone reading!
