One of the finest performers in the adult industry, Dee is now making the jump to producer, having just recently inked a deal to produce with Video Team. Riding high on her successful producing debut, Mamacitas, I caught up with Dee on set with Jill Kelly Productions' Latin X.

Q: Now we were talking off-Mic about your producing career. You've been doing some stuff for Video Team& How's that been going?

Dee : It's been going real well. He just finished wrapping on Chocolate Cream Pie, and that's due out in the next month. In mid-Febuary we are doing a Mamacitas and a No Man's Land Latin version.

Q: The rumor going around was that you had retired from performing, and now you are back again. How's your career stand?

Dee : Actually, I never retired. I just took& not a hiatus. I just stepped back a while to re-group. I never retired. Its funny when people don't see you& I don't like that word retired. Retire means you're gone. I stepped back just to reflect on things and chill.

Q: Is that important? To get some time for yourself. In this industry?

Dee : Yeah, it's very important to step back and take time for yourself as a person. When the lifestyle of the business is very fast.

Q: How did you originally get into the adult industry?

Dee : I originally got in with Rob about five years ago, and just walked into World Modeling one day. He met Julia Rage and Greg Steele. They told him where to go and we went and talked to Jim South and Steve Austin and one thing led to another.

Q: Why did you get into the adult business?

Dee : Something different. Something I wanted to try out. Something freaky. I stepped back and said there's more to his than just the movies. Then I started a management company and producing a few years later.

Q: What are the challenges of being an ethnic minority in the adult business?

Dee : It's very challenging because you have a lot to prove as a performer and as a female. You have to carry yourself very different from every one else. You have to build a reputation for yourself by showing up on time and giving a good performance, and keep a good attitude about things regardless of what's going on in your world. You have to find people that will support you and back you up. And put you in good movies, and not put you in those typecasting rolls.

Q: What's more challenging to you - the sex or the acting.

Dee : The acting. The sex is the fun part. The sex is like Oh, sex! The acting& because we don't come from a background of acting, and we have a lot more to prove. Yeah, its just sex, that's fine. But you can't treat it like that. You have to learn, you have to be serious about it.

Q: How's your personal life?

Dee : Its good. I'm happy.

Q: Are you in a relationship at the moment?

Dee : Yes, I am. I am in a relationship& The person I'm with is my partner who produces with me and directs.

Q: Now what are the challenges of maintaining the relationship in this business?

Dee : Oh That's... .
